Raven’s Story
Raven Jade came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.
Meet Raven Jade—your soon-to-be sidekick for zoomies, snuggles, and all things squeaky!
Raven Jade is that perfect blend of playful and chill—a happy Frenchie girl who knows how to have fun but also how to relax. She’s got her bursts of energy (zoomies are a must!), but she’s just as content spending her day chewing a Nylabone, tossing around a squeaky toy, or curling up for a long snore session on the couch.
When she’s not napping like a professional or joyfully trotting around the yard, Raven’s true passion comes out: snacks. This girl is very food-motivated—treats are the key to her heart and her obedience (she’ll happily kennel up for one!). Her food drive also means she’s a quick study, and she’d be an eager student for anyone wanting to teach her new tricks or reinforce good manners.
Raven is still learning the ins and outs of pet life, and she’s taking it all in stride with a sweet, open heart. She’s cautious when meeting new dogs but warms up nicely—she especially enjoys the company of her resident dog and would love a playful, friendly pup in her future home to help guide her and share in the fun.
Around people, Raven is gentle and a bit reserved at first, but once she feels comfortable, she blossoms into a snuggly little sweetheart. She hasn’t been around young children yet, but she’s done well with her foster’s 13-year-old, showing her sweet, respectful side. Slow introductions to both children and dogs are a must to ensure everyone’s safety!
Raven Jade is the kind of girl who doesn’t demand the spotlight—she earns it naturally with her quiet charm, loving nature, and those soulful eyes that seem to say, “I’m so happy to be here.” She’s still discovering all the joys of being a loved pet, and with a patient, affectionate family, she’ll continue to bloom into the confident, joyful Frenchie she’s meant to be.
If you’re looking for a companion who can keep up during playtime and melt into your lap during downtime, Raven Jade might just be your perfect match—ready to fill your days with gentle joy, soft snores, and unconditional love.
Raven Jade is still working on mastering her potty training, and she’s making good progress every day! A consistent, structured schedule is her best friend—she does great when kept on a regular routine and is learning to understand that outside is the place to go. She’s still figuring out how to signal when she needs a potty break, so patience and attentiveness will help her continue to succeed. Having another confident, well-trained dog around is a big bonus—Raven loves to follow her furry friend’s lead and learns best by example.
Crate training? Raven’s got that part down pat! She’s a total pro when it comes to her kennel routine. All it takes is a treat and the words “go in”—and she trots right in, no hesitation. Once inside, she settles quietly and comfortably, happy to nap or relax until it’s time to come out. When her foster mom says “OK puppies!”, Raven knows exactly what that means—it’s time for potty break and playtime! She’s crated while her foster is at work (with a midday potty break), and she handles it like a champ.
Raven is still learning the ropes of indoor life, but with structure, consistency, and a little positive reinforcement (treats, of course!), she’s well on her way to becoming a perfectly polite, well-mannered companion.
Medically, Raven Jade seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She does suffer from those pesky seasonal allergies! A daily OTC allergy pill helps keep her allergies at bay.
Raven Jade is a gentle, loyal sweetheart who’s ready to find her happily ever after! She’s a quieter Frenchie girl with a soft, loving personality and would do beautifully in just about any type of home—whether it’s a shared-wall apartment, townhouse, or single-family house. Raven doesn’t need constant hustle and bustle to be happy; in fact, a calmer, more relaxed environment would suit her perfectly as she continues to build confidence in new places.
While she’s a laid-back companion most of the time, Raven definitely has a playful “turbo mode” that kicks in when the mood strikes—especially when she’s outside! Because of that, a fully fenced yard is preferred for her ongoing safety. She loves to explore and romp around but also tends to stay close to her people. That said, her zoomies can get enthusiastic, so having a secure yard helps her safely burn off that burst of energy before it’s time to curl up for a nap.
Raven has mastered the stairs with ease (go, girl!) and would be an excellent office buddy for someone who works outside the home. In fact, she recently joined her foster mom at an assisted living facility for residents with memory deficits—and she loved it! She happily greeted new faces, explored the space with curiosity, and soaked up the attention like the polite little lady she is.
What Raven really craves is companionship. She’s a devoted, loyal girl who wants to be near her people as much as possible. A home with someone who works part-time or full-time from home—or a stay-at-home parent—would make her heart so happy. She just wants to be included in daily life, whether that’s lounging by your desk, snoozing on the couch, or following you from room to room to make sure she’s part of the action.
Raven Jade is truly a gem—gentle, loving, and quietly charming. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention to shine; her warmth and devotion speak for themselves. With her steady personality, soft snuggles, and big heart, she’s ready to bring calm joy and loyal companionship to her forever family.

disclaimer
Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.
We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.
We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
SNAFU Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes all short-nosed breeds in need.
