Janny’s Story

Janny came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.

Meet Janny—your future partner in play, adventure, and snuggly downtime!

Janny is a joyful, curious, and active little Frenchie girl who brings fun wherever she goes. She’s the perfect blend of spirited and sweet—always ready for a round of zoomies, a good exploration session, or a full-body wiggle when she sees her favorite humans. She absolutely loves toys of all kinds (Benebones included!), and she’ll proudly carry them around like prized treasures.

When she’s not trotting around with a toy, Janny is a world-class snuggler who enjoys curling up for naps and recharging her little engine. She’s playful, social, and very engaged with the world around her—everything is interesting, and she wants to be part of it all.

Janny is wonderfully dog-friendly and doesn’t bat an eye at dogs big or small. She stands her ground if another pup tries to steal her toys, but she’s not resource-guardy—just confident about what’s hers. She truly thrives with canine companionship and would do best in a home with another friendly, balanced dog who enjoys play and company.

While her current foster home doesn’t have cats, we do know that Janny has chased them in the past—so a cat-free home is a must for her safety and theirs.

Janny has been great around a 5-year-old in her foster home, showing her goofy, affectionate side. She can be rambunctious, though, so any home with very young children will need to guide both the pup and the child to ensure gentle, positive interactions. Slow, thoughtful introductions—both to dogs and kids—are always recommended.

With people, Janny is sweet, affectionate, and eager to be loved. She’s still learning the finer points of manners and life as a well-loved pet, but she’s smart, eager, and motivated by attention and praise. With a patient, encouraging adopter, she’ll blossom beautifully.

Janny is the kind of girl who doesn’t need to demand attention—she naturally steals hearts with her curious spirit, playful personality, and the sweet, expressive look in her eyes that says, “I’m ready for whatever comes next… as long as it’s with you.”

If you’re looking for a fun, loving companion who will fill your days with laughter, playtime, and warm snuggles, Janny might be your perfect match—ready to bring joy, charm, and endless affection into her forever home.

Janny has absolutely mastered her potty training—she is fully reliable with zero accidents in the home! She understands the routine, knows exactly where to go, and has settled beautifully into a consistent schedule. With regular potty breaks and a little structure, Janny continues to shine in this area and makes life easy for her humans.

Crate training? Janny’s got that down, too! She sleeps in her crate at night and stays crated when her foster family is away. When everyone is home, her crate door stays open, and she loves having the freedom to come and go as she pleases. It’s her safe, cozy space, and because she’s fed next to her crate, she associates it with comfort, routine, and good things.

Janny handles her crate time like a champ—she settles calmly, relaxes, and patiently waits for her humans to return or for the “OK!” that means it’s time for potty and play.

Even though she’s already thriving with her potty and crate training, she’ll continue to do best with a family that provides consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement. She’s smart, eager, and ready to be the perfectly polite companion in her forever home.

Medically, Janny seems to be in great health!  She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She does suffer from those pesky seasonal allergies!  A daily OTC allergy pill helps keep her allergies at bay.

Janny is an affectionate, lively little sweetheart who’s ready to bring joy, fun, and loyal companionship to her forever family! She’s a confident, curious Frenchie girl with a naturally cheerful spirit, and she adapts quickly to new routines and environments. Whether you live in a shared-wall apartment, townhouse, or single-family home, Janny has the flexibility and personality to fit right in.

While she loves to play and explore, Janny also has a wonderful ability to settle into the rhythm of the home. She learns routines fast and thrives when she knows what to expect—whether that’s mealtime, crate time, or the daily potty schedule. She has mastered stairs with ease (go, Janny!) and has shown she can happily adapt to most living situations.

Janny enjoys being outside, where her energetic “turbo mode” can kick in—zoomies, exploring, and checking out her surroundings are her favorite outdoor hobbies. Because of this, she’d do best with a fully fenced yard where she can safely romp around. However, she would also do well in a home without a yard as long as she’s taken outside on a secure leash and harness for regular potty breaks and exercise.

She absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion who likes to play, explore, and hang out. A friendly, balanced dog in the home would be ideal—she enjoys the company and benefits from having a buddy to follow, learn from, and share toys with.

Janny is also an excellent candidate for a workplace companion. She has the right mix of charm, calmness, and curiosity to make a great office buddy and would love being included in her person’s day. If she’s crated during the workday, a mid-day potty and play break will help her stay comfortable and content.

What Janny really wants is connection. She loves being part of the action, loves being near her people, and loves feeling included in daily routines. Whether she’s trotting behind you from room to room, lounging nearby during work hours, or snuggling up for downtime, she’s happiest simply being close.

Janny is truly a gem—happy, adaptable, affectionate, and eager to bond deeply with her forever family. She doesn’t need the spotlight to shine; her sweet nature and joyful personality speak for themselves. With her loving heart, fun spirit, and eagerness to learn, she’s ready to bring warmth, excitement, and companionship to the home lucky enough to call her theirs.

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Janny, please submit an adoption application for her today!!

disclaimer

Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.

We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.

We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.

IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.

ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.

If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
