Dior’s Story
Dior came into the SNAFU Rescue via a shelter pull. The shelter needed a breed specific rescue to manage her medical needs. They wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.
Meet Dior — a bold, bright-hearted French Bulldog whose love language is play, people, and being right in the middle of everything ✨
Dior doesn’t just enter a room — she arrives. With her wagging body, sparkling eyes, and contagious enthusiasm for life, Dior is the kind of dog who makes every day louder, happier, and a whole lot more fun. She is active, social, and endlessly entertaining, with a personality that feels like sunshine wrapped in a squishy Frenchie body.
At her core, Dior is a people dog through and through. She loves her humans and wants their attention at all times — whether that means flopping dramatically onto a soft bed, parading around with a stolen toy, or getting into just enough mischief to make sure all eyes are on her. Dior is clever, curious, and hilariously expressive, and she will absolutely find creative ways to remind you that she exists and deserves admiration (spoiler: she always does).
When it comes to play, Dior brings the energy. Tug-of-war? Yes. Squeaky toys? Must destroy immediately. Bones to chew? Her personal passion. She plays hard, loves big, and throws her whole heart into everything she does. Dior is especially fond of other dogs and truly thrives in their company — she would do best in a home with one or more playful canine siblings who enjoy romping, wrestling, and matching her playful spirit. She reads the room (and the dog) well and will mirror the play style of her companions, though she does best when everyone keeps things on the gentler side.
Dior has done well with kids, but because she loves to roughhouse and can get a little mouthy when she’s excited, older, dog-savvy children are the best match for her. She means no harm — she’s just enthusiastic and full of beans — but little ones may find her zest for play a bit too much. In the right family, though, she’ll be an absolute blast and a loyal, goofy companion.
She does not resource guard, but fair warning: Dior will happily steal toys, treats, or anything of interest from other dogs purely to spark interaction. It’s not about possession — it’s about attention. If there’s a way to make everyone look at her, Dior will find it.
Soft spots and comfy beds are her happy place once the zoomies are done. After a full day of playing, exploring, and charming everyone she meets, Dior is more than ready to curl up somewhere cozy, ideally close to her people, soaking in the love she waited far too long to receive.
Dior’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was heartbreakingly discarded at a shelter, left to battle painful skin and ear infections, allergies, and multiple masses on her body. But Dior is resilient. With proper care, love, and medical treatment, she has undergone a truly miraculous transformation — blossoming into the vibrant, joyful, playful girl she was always meant to be. Her past does not define her; her spirit does.
Now, Dior is ready for a forever home that will cherish her energy, embrace her playful chaos, and laugh at her silly antics. She’s looking for a family who will see her not for where she started, but for the incredible, affectionate, fun-loving dog she is today.
If you’re searching for a Frenchie who will make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, adore her dog friends, and love you with her whole mischievous heart — Dior is ready to take center stage in your life. 💖🐾
Dior is still working on her house-training journey, and she’s making progress with the right structure and support. She does best on a consistent schedule with frequent potty breaks and clear expectations. One thing to note is that Dior seems to need to go outside more often than the average dog — sometimes as frequently as every hour (probably for attention) — so a home that’s attentive (when she is out and about the home) and proactive with potty opportunities will set her up for success.
Her potty cues are quite subtle, so supervision is important. Dior isn’t being stubborn or defiant if she has an accident; she’s simply still learning how to clearly communicate her needs. Because of this, giving her too much unsupervised freedom too soon can lead to accidents. Helping her learn a clear signal— will be a huge confidence-builder for her and a game-changer for her future family.
The great news? Dior does very well in her crate and keeps it clean and dry, which tells us she understands the concept of holding it and wants to do the right thing. Crate time provides her with structure and helps her succeed as she continues learning. At night, Dior sleeps peacefully in her crate like a champ — though she would absolutely love to graduate to sharing a human bed someday once she’s fully reliable (and who could blame her?).
Dior will thrive in a home that values routine, patience, and positive reinforcement. She responds best to praise, encouragement, and gentle consistency, and given her eager, people-focused nature, this is a skill she’s expected to continue improving with the right guidance.
Medically, Dior seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, dental cleaning with extractions, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, heartworm tested and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! Dior had a mass removal that was a CMCT- low grade. The veterinarian did achieve clean margins. As with any dog, routine monitoring is necessary to ensure other growths do not appear. She does have above- average allergies; a daily OTC med helps keep them at bay along with cytopoint injections during those high allergy months. In addition, she will need to manage her allergies for the rest of her life; which will include over-the-counter allergy meds (as mentioned), foot soaks, medicated baths, medicated ear washes, and possibly escalating to prescription medications to continue to control her allergies.
Dior would thrive in a loving home of almost any size — apartment, condo, or single-family — as long as her people understand that while she doesn’t take up much space, she takes up a lot of life. She’s a very quiet girl who rarely barks and could easily adapt to shared-wall living, but she is active, curious, and happiest in a home that enjoys being on the go.
She handles stairs beautifully and would do just fine in a multi-level home. Dior doesn’t require a fenced-in yard, but one would be a huge bonus — giving her a safe place to burn off her energy, explore, and accommodate her frequent potty needs. Daily walks, play sessions, and interactive time with her humans are essential; Dior is not a dog who’s content just lounging the day away. She wants movement, engagement, and connection.
Dior is a true attention-lover and thrives with people who can give her plenty of it. An active family, a work-from-home household, or someone who enjoys including their dog in daily routines would be an ideal match. She would also make an exceptional office dog — she’s quiet, friendly, and absolutely delighted to greet everyone she meets with her goofy charm and happy energy. Dior has a way of making herself the unofficial morale booster wherever she goes.
While she does enjoy cuddling, Dior prefers it in shorter, affectionate bursts before she’s ready to hop up and do something fun again. She’s not a “curl up and stay still all night” kind of girl — she’s a playful, silly, endlessly entertaining companion who wants to interact, engage, and be part of the action. She will play and love endlessly and is always on the lookout for her next moment to make you laugh.
Dior will need a family who understands that her potty training is still a work in progress and who can meet her energy level with patience, routine, and flexibility. With the right people — ones who see her enthusiasm as a feature, not a flaw — she will absolutely shine.
More than anything, Dior needs a family. A place where she’s included, understood, laughed with, and loved fully. She is a joyful goofball with a huge heart, a playful spirit, and an endless capacity for love — ready to bring laughter, motion, and happiness into the lives of the people lucky enough to call her theirs. 💖🐾
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Dior, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
disclaimer
Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.
We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.
We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
