Diamond’s Story
Diamond came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.
Diamond is a bright and beautiful French Bulldog who shines with love, charm, and a whole lot of personality! With her perfect mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness, she’s ready to bring endless joy and cuddles to her forever family.
Diamond is the life of the party — outgoing, affectionate, and absolutely thrilled to make new friends, both human and canine alike! Whether she’s greeting every person in the room with happy paws up on their legs, charming her way onto any available lap (sometimes without even asking!), or sharing her gentle, loving spirit with children, Diamond’s heart is always wide open.
She’s a girl who knows how to balance her zoomies with her snoozies! One minute she’ll be joyfully zooming around the yard, or rolling noisily across the floor with a big, silly smile; the next, she’s curled up on a soft dog bed or snuggled tightly against her favorite human for a long, cozy nap. Personal space? Diamond hasn’t heard of it — and she wouldn’t have it any other way. She loves to be touching her people every single moment, especially at night, when she becomes the ultimate little cuddlebug.
Diamond adores walks and is a polite and happy walking companion, even if she occasionally stops short to hop up and ask for a quick hug. She’s smart and well-mannered too — she comes when called, knows “sit,” and heads into her kennel like a pro when asked. She has impeccable potty habits and is a true good girl in every way!
When it comes to doggy friends, Diamond enjoys the company of both big and small dogs, especially those who are calm and easygoing like she is. She’s known to gently “scold” rowdy pups who get a little too wild, so a home with relaxed, respectful dogs would be ideal. She loves sharing spaces, curling up for naps together, and sometimes even plays sweetly with her canine companions.
Diamond is also a total sweetheart with kids! She’s been wonderful with little ones, including her foster family’s 5-year-old nephew and neighbors’ young girls, offering gentle kisses and snuggly companionship. She has a special gift for connecting with children who need a calm and quiet friend, showing her tender and intuitive side.
If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, playful little gem who will light up your life with snuggles, zoomies, and unwavering devotion, Diamond is the girl for you! She’s adaptable, joyful, and ready to find a forever home where she’ll be adored as much as she adores everyone she meets.
Get ready for endless belly rubs, sweet kisses, and a lifetime of love — Diamond is waiting to steal your heart!
Diamond’s foster family proudly reports that she is fully potty trained and has never had an accident in the house! She follows a consistent daily routine, heading outside first thing in the morning around 6:30 AM, after meals, during lunch breaks, and before bedtime to keep everything on track. Diamond is a pro at sticking to her schedule and knows exactly when it’s time to go — though if it’s raining, she’s been known to give a firm “nope” and wait for the weather to clear before braving the outdoors!
Diamond is also fully crate trained and has no accidents in her crate. She happily runs into her kennel when asked and settles in calmly to snooze or chew on her beloved Benebone. She views her crate as a safe and cozy space and will often curl up inside, sometimes even snuggling in with her foster siblings if the door is open. Of course, if given the option, she would absolutely love to share her human’s bed at night — snuggling is her specialty!
For her safety, we recommend continuing to crate Diamond when her humans are away or she’s left unsupervised, as she is still learning all the ins and outs of being a beloved pet and doesn’t yet recognize all household dangers. With her happy heart, smart mind, and affectionate soul, Diamond is ready to keep shining in her forever home!
Medically, Diamond seems to be in great health. She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given the okay to adopt by our veterinarian. Diamond has low-grade luxating patellas in her rear knees. No surgery is required at this time but should be monitored for any changes and notable discomfort. In addition, Diamond broke her front leg as a puppy and it was never properly fixed. It healed in a way that caused her foot to turn to the side. Diamond does NOT have any discomfort and it does NOT cause her any issues acting like a normal playful dog. As Diamond gets older and into her senior years she is likely to have some arthritis which may require some pain management. Diamond would likely benefit from a good quality joint supplement to help mobility, reduce, support cartilage health and reduce the risk of developing any additional joint issues.
Diamond is very adaptable, and we think she would do well in almost any type of home, but would do best in a house with a fenced yard since she enjoys the freedoms of the outdoors. She loves to sun her buns, explore all the smells and roam about and a fenced-in yard would offer her safety and security. She does enjoy showing off her fine-tuned leash skills so a home without a fenced-in yard would be okay for her if secured by a harness and leash at all times. Diamond is a PRO going both up and down stairs. In an apartment setting, ideally, a ground-level unit with a nearby fenced-in yard would be best for her. She is an overall quiet pup but does bark when she hears noises outside so a shared-walled setting may not be the best for her if the hallways are busy and bustling with constant noises.
Diamond also would be a great candidate to take to the office; she is a go-with-the-flow kinda gal and very adaptable! All she needs is a cozy bed and her favorite human! Diamond is looking for a family who can match her big, loving heart with plenty of attention, snuggles, and cozy couch time! She’s an easygoing girl who would thrive in just about any home — whether it’s a single person ready to soak up all her affection or a family with multiple laps for her to choose from. Diamond is an equal opportunity lovebug and simply wants to be wherever her people are.
While she would be perfectly happy as the only dog, soaking up all the attention, she would also enjoy having a calm, playful doggy companion, especially if her family is away during the day. She loves going for walks, riding along in the car, and curling up for long cuddle sessions — she’s just as content adventuring with you as she is napping the day away by your side.
Diamond is truly a rescue unicorn — perfectly potty-trained, crate-trained, obedient, non-destructive, wonderful with other dogs, fantastic with kids, and a friend to everyone she meets. With her joyful, affectionate spirit and easygoing nature, Diamond is ready to fit seamlessly into almost any lifestyle and fill her forever home with unconditional love!

disclaimer
Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.
We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.
We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.

SNAFU Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes all short-nosed breeds in need.
