Carol’s Story

Carol came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.

Meet Carol—your personal entertainment committee, adventure buddy, and full-time source of laughter!

Carol is the kind of dog who lights up a room the moment she walks into it. She approaches life with enthusiasm, confidence, and a “let’s do something fun!” attitude that is impossible not to love. If there’s a game to be played, a toy to be tugged, a zoomie to be zoomed, or a human to climb on, Carol is all in.

This girl is active, playful, and always ready for action. She loves romping around the yard, wrestling with canine friends, playing tug-of-war, and generally making sure nobody in the household forgets that life is meant to be enjoyed. If you’re looking for a couch potato, keep scrolling. If you’re looking for a dog who makes every day feel a little more exciting, Carol may just be your perfect match.

One of Carol’s favorite hobbies is being involved in absolutely everything. Cooking dinner? Carol is supervising. Folding laundry? Carol is helping (or at least trying to sit on it). Watching TV? Carol has likely claimed a spot directly on top of you. She loves being near her people and has a knack for inserting herself right into the center of whatever activity is happening.

Despite her endless energy, Carol does eventually run out of steam. And when she does, she crashes hard. After a full day of fun, she’ll curl up and sleep soundly through the night, recharging for another day of adventures.

Carol has never met a stranger. Men, women, children, loud noises, funny hats, busy environments—nothing seems to faze her. She is friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys meeting new people. Her confidence and easygoing nature make her a joy to take places and introduce to friends and family.

She would do wonderfully in a home with children. Her playful personality and love of human interaction make her a fantastic companion for kids who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs.

Carol also enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion, but she needs the right match. She does best with laid-back dogs who are comfortable either letting her take the lead or calmly reminding her when she’s being a little too much. Like many dogs, Carol has some resource guarding around food, toys, bones, and her crate when other dogs are involved. Because of this, slow introductions and thoughtful management are important. She has successfully lived with her foster sisters—a fellow former breeder mama named Deborah and a senior Golden Boxer named Ruby—and has shown that she is absolutely capable of building wonderful friendships with the right canine companions.

Cats, however, are a different story. Carol finds them incredibly fascinating and would very much like to meet every cat she sees. Unfortunately, most cats do not share her enthusiasm. While her interest appears to come from excitement rather than aggression, a cat-free home would likely be the easiest fit.

Carol’s ideal family will provide the structure, consistency, and boundaries she needs to be her best self. She doesn’t need professional dog trainers or experienced handlers—just common-sense humans willing to be clear, confident leaders. In return, she’ll bring endless entertainment, unwavering companionship, and enough personality to fill an entire house.

A fenced yard would be a dream come true for this active girl, giving her plenty of room to run, play, and burn off energy. That said, apartment living could absolutely work with a committed adopter who is willing to provide regular walks, adventures, Sniffspots, private play sessions, and opportunities for enrichment.

Life with Carol is never boring. It’s laughter-filled mornings, toy-strewn living rooms, spontaneous zoomie sessions, and a dog who wakes up every day convinced it’s going to be the best day ever. If you’re looking for a confident, playful, people-loving Frenchie who will keep you active, keep you smiling, and make herself the center of your world!

Carol has her potty training down pat and thrives on a consistent routine. She appears to be fully potty trained and has not had a single accident in her foster home. As long as she is kept on a predictable schedule, she knows exactly what is expected of her and handles her business like a pro. She happily goes outside when it’s time and has proven herself to be a reliable and easy housemate.

When it comes to crate training, Carol does wonderfully—as long as she has a little privacy. Her crate is her calm, quiet retreat, and she settles in beautifully when it’s positioned in a space where she can’t see other dogs or people moving about. With fewer distractions, she’s perfectly content to relax, nap, and wait patiently for her humans to return. She’s not one to fuss or make a scene when her environment is set up for success.

Carol is truly one of those dogs who is remarkably easy to live with once her needs are met. She eats well, drinks appropriately, sleeps soundly through the night, and settles nicely into household routines. Give her plenty of exercise, clear expectations, and a comfortable place to decompress, and she’ll reward you with all the fun, personality, and companionship that make her such a special girl.

Medically, Carol seems to be in great health!  She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, had a BOAS surgery to help her breathing, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She does suffer from those pesky seasonal allergies!  A daily OTC allergy med coupled with allergy maintenance will help keep them at bay.  A cytopoint injection during high allergy months is warranted.  

Carol is looking for a family that embraces adventure, laughter, and a little bit of delightful chaos. She would thrive with an active household that enjoys walks, outings, playtime, and keeping her engaged both mentally and physically. Her zest for life is contagious, and she has a way of making even ordinary days feel more exciting.

Stairs? No problem! Carol tackles them like a seasoned pro and doesn’t let her short little legs slow her down one bit.

Carol could also do well in a social, easy-going office environment where she can charm coworkers and soak up attention throughout the day. She genuinely loves people and would happily make the rounds collecting pets and admirers. Fair warning, though—Carol can be adorably obnoxious at times. She’s social, enthusiastic, and firmly believes she should be included in absolutely everything.

Most importantly, Carol doesn’t need an experienced dog owner—she simply needs a family willing to provide clear boundaries, consistency, and routine. Once her needs are met, she’s an incredibly easy companion who will reward her people with endless entertainment, unwavering loyalty, and a personality that’s larger than life.
