Caddy’s Story

Caddy came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.

Meet Caddy — a joyful, affectionate little Frenchie who believes life is meant to be shared, celebrated, and fully enjoyed alongside her people. With her happy-go-lucky spirit, social personality, and loving heart, Caddy has a way of making every moment feel a little brighter.

Caddy is the perfect blend of playful energy and easygoing charm. She absolutely loves being right in the middle of whatever is happening—if there’s activity, she’s there; if there’s fun to be had, she’s all in. Whether she’s romping around the yard, playing with toys, or bouncing alongside her canine friends, Caddy brings an infectious enthusiasm that’s impossible not to smile at. She’s the kind of dog who turns everyday moments into something special just by being part of them.

But as much as she loves to play, Caddy has a wonderfully balanced nature. Once she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to settle in for some well-earned rest. She adores curling up on the couch, soaking in affection, and recharging close to her people. She truly offers the best of both worlds—silly and spirited when it’s time to play, and calm and cuddly when it’s time to unwind.

From the moment she arrived in her foster home, Caddy made it clear that she thrives on connection. She loves being part of a family and will happily follow her people from room to room, eager to be included in whatever they’re doing. Whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a more active day, Caddy adapts beautifully and just wants to be by your side through it all.

One of Caddy’s most wonderful qualities is her social nature—not just with people, but with other dogs as well. She truly enjoys canine companionship and would love a home with another playful, friendly pup who can match her energy and share in her adventures. She’s wonderfully polite and easygoing—Caddy is not a resource guarder and shares her space, toys, food, and attention with ease. She’s the kind of dog who just wants everyone around her to feel happy and included.

She’s affectionate, curious, and always ready for whatever the day brings—whether that’s playtime with a furry friend, following her humans around the house, or settling in for a cozy nap.

Like many young dogs, Caddy is still working on mastering her potty training skills. She’s making steady progress and is eager to learn, but she will need a patient and consistent family to help guide her. With routine, structure, and positive reinforcement, she will continue to build confidence and succeed. Her foster family shares that she truly tries her best and responds beautifully to gentle direction. With continued consistency, patience, and loving guidance from her forever family, Caddy will keep blossoming and polishing her house manners. She’s a smart little girl with a big desire to please, and she thrives when she can be near her people and part of their daily rhythm. Her loyal, affectionate nature is sure to make her an incredibly devoted companion.

Caddy is fully crated trained!!! Caddy is also a big fan of companionship when it comes to rest time. She initially slept in her kennel as she adjusted to her foster home, but once she felt safe and secure, she quickly showed her true preference—snuggling up in bed with her person. It’s a routine she absolutely loves, and she’ll happily curl in close, soaking up every bit of comfort and connection.

Medically, Caddy seems to be in great health!  She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She has bilateral luxating patellas, a common condition where the kneecaps can shift out of place, so ongoing monitoring and keeping her on a high-quality joint supplement will be important to support her comfort and mobility.

Caddy is the kind of pup who would truly thrive in a home with room to stretch her legs and enjoy life to the fullest. A house with a fenced yard would be ideal for her — she loves to run, play, and burn off her happy bursts of energy. Having a safe outdoor space to zoom around, along with enough indoor room for the occasional playful sprint, would make this girl’s heart sing.

She is incredibly people-oriented and loves attention. Caddy shines when she’s included in the action and would do best with a family that can offer plenty of interaction, playtime, and exercise. She’s happiest when she’s near her humans, soaking up affection and being part of the everyday flow. Whether you’re moving about the house or settling in to relax, Caddy will be right there, happily keeping you company.

One thing Caddy has completely mastered? Stairs! She’s a confident little staircase champion who navigates them with ease, making her adaptable to a variety of home setups.

Because she’s used to having a break during the day, Caddy would thrive in a home where someone can let her out midday to stretch, play, and reset before settling back down. A part-time work-from-home schedule or a stay-at-home family member would be the crème de la crème for her. She would also make a delightful office companion — she adores people and would happily charm everyone she meets with her sweet, social personality.
