Rotini’s Story
Rotini came into the SNAFU Rescue via an owner surrender. Her family wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.
Meet Rotini — a joyful, playful, social butterfly and your future best friend!
Rotini is an outgoing little Frenchie with a heart as big as her personality. She’s friendly, confident, and always ready for whatever fun the day might bring. Whether she’s playing chase through the house, engaging in an intense round of tug-of-war, or happily wrestling with her beloved Boston Terrier foster sibling, Rotini brings energy, laughter, and excitement everywhere she goes. She is truly a dog who lives to play — and she’s very good at it.
After a solid play session, Rotini happily switches gears and turns into a cuddle bug, settling down for a long nap and soaking up affection from her people. She’s the perfect mix of playful and snuggly, making her an easy fit for both active and relaxed households.
Rotini has been around dogs of all sizes and does wonderfully with them. She’s respectful, confident, and social, and would absolutely thrive in a home with another playful canine companion. She has also been around a dog-savvy resident cat and showed no issues or interest in bothering them — a big win for multi-pet households!
When it comes to kids, Rotini is a rock star. She’s done excellent with a 19-month-old and has been exposed to children of various ages. She is gentle, patient, and tolerant, and would do great with dog-savvy kids who want an enthusiastic playmate and lifelong friend.
Rotini is no dummy either — she already knows basic commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “kennel.” She is eager, smart, and relatively easygoing, making her a fantastic option for someone new to short-nose (brachycephalic) breeds. On top of her amazing personality, she is medically sound and in great health.
Rotini would thrive in a home with another dog, playful children, and an active family who wants to include her in everyday life. She is affectionate, adaptable, and full of joy — the kind of dog who makes every day brighter just by being in it.
Life with Rotini means constant tail wags, happy zoomies, cozy naps, and a forever friend who will be by your side through it all. 🐾💛
Rotini is housebroken and doing very well, though she is still technically a work in progress as she continues to fine-tune her communication skills. She will occasionally have an accident if her subtle cues are missed, but she does a great job letting her people know she needs to go out by going straight to the back door. One unique (and adorable) quirk — Rotini prefers to go outside to potty before eating her meals, and sticking to that routine has helped her be very successful. With a consistent schedule, plenty of praise, and attentive humans, she will absolutely thrive.
Rotini is also crate trained and does perfectly fine in a kennel when her people are away from the home. She doesn’t love being separated from her humans (who could blame her?), but she settles quietly and knows her crate is a safe space. The longest she has been kenneled at a time is about six hours, and even then, her foster family makes it a priority to come home on lunch breaks to let her out for a potty break. Since settling into her foster home, she has not soiled her kennel at all — a very good girl.
At night, though, Rotini has made her wishes VERY clear: she is a bed sleeper, and this is a non-negotiable requirement according to her. She sleeps peacefully cuddled up with her people and would love a forever family who is happy to let her continue this sweet habit. After all, she’s a world-class snuggler.
With routine, consistency, and plenty of love, Rotini will continue to blossom into an even more confident and reliable house companion.
Medically, Rotini seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, had her cherry eye repaired, nares widened, tonsils removed, heartworm tested, microchipped, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She does have a rear grade 2 luxating patella that does NOT cause her any issues nor pain. It should be monitored closely for any changes. Rotini would benefit from a good-quality joint supplement.
Rotini is the kind of girl who wants it all — space to run, an active, engaging family, and lots of love and attention. A fully fenced yard is required for this curious, energetic Frenchie, as she doesn’t quite understand boundaries yet and would happily take off exploring (or chasing something exciting) if given the chance. She loves to zoom, romp, and burn off her playful energy, and having a secure outdoor space will keep her safe and happy.
Rotini is full of personality — fun, silly, affectionate, and incredibly social. She absolutely adores her people and wants to be included in as much of their daily life as possible. A home with children and other dogs would be a dream come true for her, as she loves both and thrives on attention and playtime. More people simply means more pets, more toys thrown, and more love to soak up.
When it comes to stairs, Rotini is a total pro. She handles them confidently with no issues and moves around the home like a champ.
Rotini would also make an amazing office companion for someone who is able to bring their dog to work. She loves meeting people and would happily make her daily rounds as the office greeter. If joining you at work isn’t an option, she will still do just fine at home in her kennel — though a midday potty break is strongly recommended if her people are away for extended periods. That said, if given the choice, Rotini will always choose to be right by your side.
She also rides wonderfully in the car and would love a family that enjoys taking their dog along for errands, adventures, and road trips. And one very important note from Miss Rotini herself: sleeping in the family bed is a requirement. She is a true snuggler and wants nothing more than to curl up with her humans at night.
Rotini is going to make an incredible family dog for a very lucky household. She has a huge heart, a playful spirit, and so much love to give. All she needs now is a family who is ready to include her in everything and cherish her forever.

disclaimer
Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.
We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.
We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
SNAFU Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes all short-nosed breeds in need.
