Priscilla’s Story

Priscilla came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.

Meet Priscilla – Your Playful Little Shadow in Training! 🐾✨

Priscilla isn’t just adorable—she’s a blossoming bundle of personality, playfulness, and heart-melting sweetness! Think bouncy zoomies, curious eyes, and a loyal little sidekick who’s learning that the world (and people!) are actually pretty wonderful. She may start off a bit shy and soft around the edges, but give her a little time and patience, and you’ll watch her transform into a joyful, tail-wagging shadow who wants to be right by your side through it all.

This darling girl has come such a long way—from timid and unsure to greeting guests with happy excitement and confidently soaking up love from her people. While she’s not quite a full-time lap snuggler yet, she’s absolutely heading in that direction as her confidence grows. What she does love? Being near you, checking in often, and sharing life’s little moments together. She’s your “follow-you-from-room-to-room” kind of girl, just with a playful twist!

And speaking of playful—Priscilla is FUN. She’s got a spunky, energetic side and lives for a good play session, especially when it involves other dogs. Wrestling, romping, toy tossing—you name it, she’s in! Plush toys are her absolute favorite, and she’ll happily entertain herself (and you) with her goofy, joyful antics. She plays hard, loves hard, and sometimes needs a little reminder to take a breather because she’s just having that much fun.

Priscilla truly shines in the company of other dogs. She adores her foster sister and thrives with a playful companion who can match her energy and help bring out her confidence. At the same time, she’s wonderfully respectful of dogs who prefer their space—she knows when to engage and when to politely back off. Total good girl energy. 💁‍♀️

She can also live with cats! She’s curious and occasionally playful, so a dog-savvy, confident feline friend would be the best match. While she hasn’t met kids just yet, her gentle, sweet nature suggests she’d do beautifully with respectful, dog-savvy children who understand how to interact kindly and appropriately.

Priscilla is still learning the ropes of being the best girl she can be. She knows her name, comes when called, and is working on basic cues like “sit.” She responds well to gentle guidance and is very food-motivated—making her a fun and eager student! She’s even mastering doggy stairs (with a little excitement sprinkled in), and with continued encouragement, she’ll keep gaining skills and confidence.

One of her most lovable traits? Her easygoing, kind-hearted nature. Priscilla has zero signs of resource guarding—she shares food, treats, toys, and even lick mats like a true lady. She’s all about good vibes and happy coexistence.

Priscilla would thrive in a home with another friendly, playful dog and a family committed to continuing her confidence journey. She’s looking for people who will celebrate her progress, encourage her growth, and give her plenty of playtime, companionship, and love. While Frenchie experience isn’t required, understanding the breed’s unique needs—like their sensitivity to heat, skin care, and playful (sometimes rowdy!) personalities—is important for her long-term success.

Priscilla’s foster family is so proud of how far she’s come—this girl is truly putting in the work and it shows! She’s made wonderful progress with her potty training and thrives on a consistent routine. Right now, she does best with regular potty breaks first thing in the morning, before and after meals, after naps, and before bedtime. With this structure in place, accidents are minimal, though she may have the occasional slip-up (especially if the weather isn’t cooperating—rainy days aren’t her favorite!).

When Priscilla first arrived, she was unsure about going potty outside and needed a little extra encouragement. But with time, patience, and the help of a confident doggy role model, she’s gained so much confidence! Having another dog around has been a huge help in reinforcing her good habits, and she’ll continue to thrive with consistency, routine, and lots of positive praise.

Leash walking is still a work in progress for this sweet girl. She’s not quite comfortable on a leash yet and will need a patient adopter who’s willing to gently guide her and build her confidence at her own pace.

Priscilla is crate trained and does beautifully in her crate. She settles in calmly, keeps her space clean, and is perfectly content to relax or nap while her humans are away. She is currently crated when home alone for safety, as she’s still a curious, playful pup who likes to explore (and occasionally chew!) anything that catches her interest. The good news? She’s been completely accident-free in her crate—such a smart girl!

When her people are home, though, Priscilla would much rather be out and about, following you from room to room and being part of the action. She’s still building her confidence with close snuggles, but there’s no doubt she finds comfort in being near her humans and will continue to blossom with time.

With her growing potty skills, excellent crate manners, and eagerness to learn, Priscilla is well on her way to becoming a wonderfully well-rounded companion—she just needs a loving home to keep cheering her on every step of the way. 💕

Medically, Priscilla seems to be in great health!  She has been spayed,had a dental, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, heartworm tested and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! 

Priscilla would thrive in a variety of home settings as long as she has what matters most—loving humans, a sense of security, and plenty of companionship. Whether it’s a cozy apartment or a house, she’s adaptable and easygoing at heart. She’s not a big barker, making her a great candidate for apartment living, especially if she has access to a safe, easy-to-reach outdoor space for potty breaks. Since she’s still building confidence outside and with her potty routine, a low-pressure environment like a quiet yard or dog run is ideal.

A fenced yard is not required for Priscilla, but if there isn’t one, her future family should be committed to continuing her leash training. She’s still learning that the leash isn’t so scary, so she’ll need patience, encouragement, and consistency to help her feel comfortable and confident exploring the world that way.

When it comes to stairs, Priscilla is still figuring things out. She’s currently only comfortable using small doggy stairs (like for the couch) and isn’t quite ready to tackle full staircases on her own. A home without a lot of stairs would be best, or one where her humans are happy to lend a helping hand (or scoop!) when needed.

Priscilla truly blossoms with companionship. She would do best in a home where someone is around much of the day or able to stop in regularly, as she loves being near her people and is still learning her routines. She’s the kind of girl who forms deep bonds and wants to be part of your everyday life—your little shadow in the making.

She would absolutely love a home with another playful, friendly dog. Not only does she adore having a buddy to wrestle and romp with, but it also helps boost her confidence in the best way. She could also do well with respectful, dog-savvy children and even cats with proper introductions.

Could Priscilla be an office dog someday? Potentially, yes! With continued confidence-building and once her potty training is fully solid, she has the personality to grow into a calm, sweet little coworker. She may be shy at first in new environments, but given time and patience, she settles in beautifully.

Priscilla isn’t a high-maintenance diva—she’s a soft, sensitive soul who just wants to feel safe, loved, and included. She’s equal parts playful goofball and loyal companion, lighting up during playtime and melting into your presence once she feels secure. Watching her grow from timid and unsure into a happy, affectionate, toy-carrying, people-loving girl has been something truly special.
