Kiki’s Story
Kiki came into the SNAFU Rescue via a breeder release. Her breeder wanted her to be placed in a loving home and spend the rest of her years being a spoiled pet.
Meet Kiki – Your Forever Shadow & Joyful Queen! 👑🐶
If you’re dreaming of a dog who will love you with her whole heart, light up your life with joy, and fill every room with warmth and sweetness—meet Kiki. This beautiful French Bulldog is more than just a pretty face (though let’s be honest, she’s gorgeous)—she’s the happiest girl on the planet, a social butterfly, and a certified cuddle connoisseur.
Kiki’s heart belongs to her humans—every single one of them. She adores people with a gentle, loyal devotion that makes you feel like the center of her universe. Whether you’re working from home, watching TV, folding laundry, or just sitting still for a second—she’ll be there, happily curled up in your lap or quietly keeping you company. She’s the ultimate Velcro dog and lives for soft blankets, cozy couches, and a warm lap to snuggle into.
Though she’s calm and serene 90% of the time, don’t let that peaceful energy fool you—Kiki has bursts of classic Frenchie spunk! Her playful side comes to life with toys and bones—especially squeaky toys and rubber ones, which she proudly parades around while prancing like royalty. She’s a toy bin enthusiast who empties each container with purpose and delight. And when it’s bone time? Bring out the Benebones and beef knuckles—this girl knows what she likes!
Kiki also enjoys spending time outdoors, where she’ll explore with curiosity and confidence. She’d love a safe, secure yard to stretch her legs and feel the breeze. She’s not one to wander far—she just wants to be near her people and enjoy a little sunshine with them.
With dogs, Kiki is calm, respectful, and wonderfully social. She’d be happy with a mellow, balanced furry friend to hang out with—or would absolutely thrive as the queen of the castle, soaking up all the love as an only dog. She has a motherly, gentle nature and would likely do beautifully in a home with dog-savvy children. Just one note: her version of affection includes jumping up to give the best hugs (seriously, it’s adorable), but she’ll need a little guidance to keep her from knocking over tiny humans in the process.
Kiki is a beautiful blend of peaceful and playful, loyal and lively, silly and soulful. She’s the kind of dog who turns every moment into something special simply by being near. With a little structure, lots of love, and a cozy place to snuggle, Kiki will blossom into the perfect companion.
So if your heart is ready for a gentle, goofy, gorgeous girl who will adore you endlessly—Kiki is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. 💕
Are you ready to be Kiki’s everything? Because she’s more than ready to be yours.
Kiki’s foster family is proud to share that this sweet girl is well on her way to being fully potty trained! She’s kept on a consistent routine and does wonderfully with regular potty breaks—especially after mealtime. While she’s about 90% there, she’s still learning how to signal when she needs to go out, so continued supervision and a consistent schedule will set her up for total success. If left unattended for too long, she may still have the occasional accident, but she’s a fast learner and eager to please.
Crate time? No problem! Kiki is completely crate trained and settles in without a peep. She keeps her space spotless and happily naps in her crate when her people are away, making her an easy housemate during the workday. But when her humans are home, she’d much rather be glued to their side—because being close is her favorite place to be.
At night, Kiki would absolutely love to share a human bed. This full-on snuggle bug is the ultimate bedtime companion—soft, warm, and endlessly comforting. She has a calming presence that fills the room, bringing peace and love to everyone lucky enough to be near her.
With her crate confidence, developing potty skills, and unmatched love of snuggles, Kiki is a low-fuss, high-reward kind of gal. All she needs is a little continued guidance—and a family who wants a loyal shadow to warm their hearts (and maybe their feet) every single day.
Medically, Kiki seems to be in great health! She has been spayed, nares widened, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, heartworm tested and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian! She does suffer from the pesky Frenchie allergies and would benefit from a daily OTC allergy med to manage her seasonal allergies.
Kiki would thrive in just about any home, as long as it comes with a cozy lap, gentle hands, and a heart ready to spoil her like the royalty she is. Whether it’s a multi-level house, a ranch-style home with a fenced yard, or even an apartment, Kiki is incredibly adaptable. She’s already mastered the stairs and is quiet as a mouse—making her a great candidate for apartment living, especially if it’s a ground-floor unit with easy access to a fenced potty area to help her stay on track with her routine.
While a fenced-in yard isn’t a must, it is ideal for this little explorer to safely soak up the sunshine. If a yard isn’t available, she’ll need to be secured on leash and harness—this curious girl has zero concept of boundaries and won’t hesitate to trot off toward her next adventure if a door’s left open. For that reason, homes with small kids who tend to forget to close gates or doors might be a little too risky unless there’s very close supervision.
As for daily life? Kiki is the ultimate velcro pup. She wants nothing more than to be with her people—all the time. Whether you’re cooking, working, relaxing, or getting ready for the day, she’ll be right there with her trademark grin and hopeful eyes. She walks beautifully on a leash and adores car rides, especially if the destination involves you.
Kiki would absolutely thrive with a work-from-home or part-time stay-at-home human. She doesn’t require constant activity, but she does require constant companionship. She’s calm, quiet, and content with a simple life full of snuggles, soft beds, TV time, and belly rubs. She has an occasional burst of joyful Frenchie energy, but mostly, she’s a laid-back lovebug looking for her next cuddle.
She gets along beautifully with other calm, balanced dogs but would be equally happy as the only pup—especially if it means soaking up all the attention. Her nurturing, motherly nature would likely make her a wonderful companion for respectful children, too, with supervision during the “hug attacks” she’s known to lovingly initiate!
Kiki truly deserves a life of luxury, love, and lap time. Her infectious smile, sweet soul, and gentle nature make her one of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs. If you’re looking for a low-drama, high-love companion to brighten your life and snuggle you through every season, Kiki is the treasure you’ve been waiting for.
If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Kiki, please submit an adoption application for her today!!
disclaimer
Please note that it will likely be at *least* a 3–4 week minimum before you hear back from us after submitting an adoption application.
We typically accept for new applications for a period of 7 days or until 20 applications have been received for any newly available dog. After that time period, the applications are sent on to the foster family for review and that usually takes from at *least* a few days to a week to sort through the applications, etc. Most of our dogs receive several applications so this process does take some time, especially on dogs who are more popular for one reason or another.
We do require phone interviews to be conducted between the foster family and potential adopters, vet reference checks and a home visit to be conducted for all potential adopters, if they are selected as the top choice applicant, which will also take time to complete. That being said, we do always let our applicants know if they are chosen or not.
IF you happen to not be chosen, please don’t feel discouraged as, again, we usually get several applications for each dog, and sometimes it can be very difficult to choose just one adopter. In those cases, we usually offer to keep the applications for adoption on file for any future dogs that come into our rescue.
ALL adopters are required to come and pick up their adopted dogs in person from the dog’s foster home (we do not ship any of our dogs). Please have road/driving transport plans in place to pick up an adopted dog before you apply! While we are not against adopters flying a foster dog in cabin on a commercial flight, please keep in mind that many are not good candidates for flying due to size and/or being a brachycephalic/short nosed breed.
If an adopter cannot keep one of our grads, for any reason at all, at ANY point in time, they *must* be willing and able to return their adopted dog to his/her original foster home, despite distance and any costs that would be required to do so.
SNAFU Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes all short-nosed breeds in need.
